At the Insurance Law Group we believe in an old fashion practice of law. This means that all of our clients work directly with an attorney not a paralegal or case manager. As a small firm, it is an owner/lawyer who handles your case and who will personally meet with you at your home to evaluate your damages and discuss your legal concerns. We are available seven days a week and will work around your busy schedule. We understand how a catastrophic loss such as a hurricane, fire or tornado can disrupt your life and will work with you to put things back together.
  
What makes the Insurance Law Group unique is our dedication and approach to solving our clients’ insurance problems. Our founders, Paul Berger and Guy Gilbert, are attorneys and adjusters, and are experienced in handling all aspects of insurance claims. We believe that this is unique and enables us to achieve better results for our clients than any other firm or public adjusting agency. As the only Florida firm with attorney/adjusters, insurance companies know us, respect us, and recognize we are serious attorneys and vigorous advocates. We believe this reputation helps get our clients everything they are entitled to, usually without the need to file a law suit.
  
In addition, our firm represents clients at rates equal or below fees charged by public adjusters* and thus you are represented by an experienced attorney for far below what a traditional law firm would charge.
  

Meet Our Founders:
  
Paul Berger:
  
Paul’s specialty is catastrophe law and damage assessment from hurricanes. A native of Boston, Paul first moved to Florida in 1990 to attend law school at the University of Miami. He understands the impact that hurricanes have on South Florida having experienced first hand the devastation of Hurricane Andrew. Paul has handled hundreds of insurance claims, and has helped his clients receive millions of dollars in additional insurance proceeds. Paul is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, Member of the Florida Bar and Member of the Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters.
  
Guy Gilbert:
  
Guy approaches the practice of law with passion and diligence. A long time Florida resident, he graduated from Emory University with a bachelor of arts, and came home to Florida for law school at Stetson University College of Law. Practicing for more than twelve years, Guy focuses on insurance related litigation and only represents policy holders and consumers. Prior to founding the Insurance Law Group, Guy was the head of the insurance division of one of the most preeminent law firms in America, as ranked by Martindale Hubbel.
